Letter to the letter: History proves the Holocaust happened
November 14, 2000
Are you serious? As a Jew, I take extreme offense at the suggestion that the Holocaust didn’t happen.
Mr Smith, I wouldn’t say that you are a “hater” or racist based on this, but I will say that you are ignorant to the point of being dangerous to yourself and society.
There is no rational basis for assuming that the Holocaust didn’t happen, and the only reason I can think of to say that is to purposefully cause emotional distress and confrontations.
The only thing your opinion is based on is YOUR OPINION.
I could say that the Mexican-American war never happened, and you could show me suggestive evidence that it did and reports of those who were there — in short, HISTORY.
But for some reason, history is invalid as evidence for the Holocaust?
Take Auschwitz, for instance. Doesn’t that provide some evidence to the occurrence of the Holocaust?
It certainly wasn’t built for benign reasons.
In response, if the Holocaust didn’t happen, then where are my great grandparents, and great aunts and uncles?
Because I would sure like to see them.
I am rather disappointed that it was so easy for someone to get views, which are that ignorant, and clearly designed to upset people, published.
