I just wanted to take some time to thank everyone involved with the minority retention presentation, which was given at the GSB meeting, especially Black Student Alliance President P’Angela Haynes.

By approving to add retention and minority retention to the redirection of student fees bill, GSB has sent a powerful message to the students that retention and minority retention in particular are priorities.

I would also like to extend an enormous thanks to all the students of color who came to the meeting to express their thoughts and lend their support because their presence made a great impact.

I would also like to thank my fellow GSB senators for all of their support on this critical issue facing minority students on this campus.
