Let me remind and encourage eligible students to participate in the upcoming sales tax vote this Tuesday.

ISU students make up about half of the population of Ames and would pay a large part of the proposed sales tax increase.

Yet few students are registered to vote here in Ames and few of these will actually vote. Students are not well represented in this issue of taxation.

So vote on whether or not you want to pay more in sales tax to support the Ames public schools.
