Vilsack to visit ISU today

Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack will be visiting the ISU campus today in Room 220 of the Scheman Building. Vilsack is coming to Iowa State as part of the Iowa Tourism Conference and Trade Show, which is sponsored by the Iowa Division of Tourism and the Travel Federation of Iowa.

The event is an opportunity for people in the Iowa tourism industry to attend seminars and learn about new trends and opportunities in the industry, said Kristin Mackey, deputy communications director for Vilsack. She said Vilsack will be attending to help promote Iowa tourism and will be speaking from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
