It’s time to change our ways. Instead of looking for someone to bring in more big money and spend it as fast as we can, it’s time to bring in someone who can do more with what we have. The highly educated, overpaid, over-rated presidents in the past have had their chance, now it’s time to put someone in charge that can save money, not earn and spend it as fast as possible! Iowa’s higher education has gotten higher all right. So high that most kids can’t afford to go to college. I have been employed at Iowa State for 23 years now, and the waste I have seen is unbelievable. It’s time to put someone from the bottom of the food chain in charge and give them a chance. They couldn’t possibly raise tuition anymore than the past administration has. I know, put me in charge, pay me $50,000 dollars a year, and I will promise to save 5 million the first year in charge. If I don’t succeed, I will pay back the $50,000. But then when I do succeed in my goal – and I will – you can pay me 5 percent of each million I save the state each year thereafter. Every child in this state deserves to go to college if he or she wishes. So help me bring down the cost of education. Ron Borich
