I’m not sure if you people, who were probably appalled by the article about the students who collided on the motorcycle and the bicycle, noticed that two pages earlier in the DPS log, it clearly states the bicyclist struck the motorcycle. Guess that little detail slipped through. I guess it’s not Daily policy to get both sides of the story. Did you call the guy on the motorcycle and ask him his side? I guess not, but I already knew that because I am the guy on the motorcycle. Read the DPS log, and read it good. Just one word for all of you bicyclists out there: watch where the heck you’re going. Riding a bicycle doesn’t excuse you from the responsibilities of the road. If you are riding through a bunch of people, make sure you know where you are going to come out. There may be some poor chap on the other side that can’t see through the maze of people, and you may barrel into him and send him flying off of his new motorcycle. Of course, it won’t be your fault, you were on a bicycle. Even if you admit you weren’t watching where you were going, even if you are too dense to see a 400-pound black motorcycle with its turn signal on. You don’t need to be afraid to cross the street for fear of getting hit by a motorcycle. Motorcyclists are, by nature, cautious. I guarantee none of the motorcyclists on this campus want to scratch their precious bike. Though I’m sure you won’t print this and my side will remain untold, thank you for you time. Adam Forch
