Ticket sales high at ISU this year

The Iowa State athletic teams should have plenty of support this season if early ticket sales are any indication. Dave Crum, director of tickets and event operations for the Cyclone ticket office, says the set number of 3,000 all-sports passes to be sold to students have been reached and the bar has been raised to 3,300. “At the beginning we said that 3,000 passes would be available but we upped it 3,300 because of the success. We’re very happy, ticket sales are going great,” Crum said. The all-sport pass gives Cyclone students admission to all sports, not just fall sports, and costs $119. “This is good because it gives us a jump on the winter sports. The pass gives 3,300 students a chance to go to sports like soccer, wrestling and volleyball, and they don’t have to pay where as in the past, they had too,” Crum said. Crum points out that the importance of getting an all-sport pass regarding the area of basketball. After the passes are sold out, there will be a small number of tickets remaining for both men and women’s basketball “We encourage everybody to buy their tickets, not to put it off. Once the passes are gone, there’s only 200 women’s and 500 men’s general admission tickets left,” Crum stated. In the past, Jack Trice Stadium’s seven largest crowds came when Iowa or Nebraska visited. Crum is confident that there will be good attendance throughout the season. “We’re having a number of people buying football only tickets. After the all-sport passes are gone, we’ll go up to 6,500 student season tickets,” Crum said. “We’re expecting more great numbers so we’re encouraged by that.”
