I wanted to reply to Ms. Young’s “rally cry” to the “girls” of Iowa State made on August 31. First off, adult females are “women.” The singular is “woman,” and the alternative spelling is “womyn.” As to “looking like a hooker,” it’s good to know that a woman who thinks she looks good is considered a “whore.” If someone wants to show themselves off or just want to be comfortable in what they wear, the more power to them. Anything under a backpack is just as warm as anything else. I was wondering what Ms. Young thought of all of those “gigolos” out there in tight fitting jeans or without shirts? What would their parents think? Or is it not a problem because they’re guys. Speaking of dignity and class, I was taught that pajamas were meant to be worn at home. Chris Parizek
