The information in the log is obtained from Department of Public Safety reports released to the Daily. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in court.

July 22

* A fire broke out in an outside garbage can in the Friley Hall archway. It was extinguished.

* A staff member in the Spangler Lab reported items scattered in the gravel drive leading to the building. The items were placed in evidence for safekeeping.

July 23

* Caiping Su, 6176 Buchanan Hall, reported the theft of a computer disc from Room 3332 of Food Science. Estimated loss was $3.

* A vehicle owned and driven by Ronke Lattimore, 403 Jeffrey Lane, sustained damage after a fire started in the engine compartment near Knoll Road and Union Drive. Estimated damage was $200.

* During a routine traffic stop at Pammel Drive and Stange Road, Raymond Vannausdle, 23, Boyden, was found to have two unserved suspensions. The notices were served.

* The plexiglass panels on eight dryers at the University Village Laundry were reported to have cracks in them. The damage was first noticed about three weeks ago.

July 24

* DPS received a report of a key missing from Carver Hall.

* DPS officers assisted Mary Greeley Medical Center paramedics with a medical emergency at Schilletter Village. A woman was transported to the Mary Greeley Medical Center.

* Richard Schultz, Racine, Wis., reported the loss or theft of 20 computer disks and a dark green bag in the Parks Library. Estimated loss was $27.

* Jack Miller, Milo, reported that while staying at Friley Hall, $10 was taken from his room.

* A graduate student in Lagomarcino Hall reported receiving several harassing telephone calls.

July 25

* DPS Student Officers found a set of keys near Carver Hall. The keys were later turned over to FP&M staff.

* Seana Brandenburg, Armstrong, reported her bicycle was damaged while parked near the Design Building.
