Thomas Ju-Tong Yu was named a World Professor for Excellence in International Education and Production Agriculture by Iowa State’s College of Agriculture. Yu and ISU researchers have worked together for more than 30 years to improve the swine industry in several Asian countries. Yu has also worked on animal production in rural Taiwan.

Currently, Yu lives in Thailand where he established a swine division for the C.P. Group, a group of businesses that have sent many of its staff members to Iowa State for study.

Yu received his training in the field of animal sciences in Taiwan and obtained his master’s degree and Ph.D. from Kansas State.
