The information in the blotter is obtained from the Ames Police Department arrest book. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in court.
May 24
* Eric R. Wierson, 30, 613 Clark Ave., was arrested on a warrant for simple assault. Wierson was released on his own recognizance.
May 25
* Kim Smith, 45, Nevada, was arrested on a felony warrant for probation violation. Smith was released to Marshall County officials.
May 26
* Christopher Grosz, 19, 1300 Gateway Hills Park Drive #302, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Grosz was released on his own recognizance.
* Joel M. Caruth, 22, 1300 Gateway Hills Park Drive #302, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Caruth was released on his own recognizance.
* Steven Honeick, 18, 224 Russell Ave., was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Honeick was given a citation.
* Alan Clipperton, 20, 1300 Gateway Hills Park Drive #302, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Clipperton was turned over to Story County Jail officials.
* Brenton Fogarty, 20, 517 25th St., was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Fogarty was given a citation and released.
* Erik D. Towne, 20, 1300 Gateway Hills Park Drive #302, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and engaging in prohibited acts. Towne was released on his own recognizance.
* Andrew J. Gigstad, 24, 1300 Coconino Road #232, was arrested for public intoxication. Gigstad was given a citation and released.
* Jeffrey M. Timmive, 24, 1300 Coconino Road #232, was arrested for public intoxication. Timmive was given a citation and released.
* Jerry R. Davis Jr., 27, no permanent address, was arrested for child endangerment and willful injury. He was turned over to Story County Jail officials.
* Matthew F. Bishop, 23, 2862 Lincoln Way #B, was arrested for criminal trespass and harassment. Bishop was released on 0 percent of $700.
May 27
* Joel Fridrych, 25, 316 11th St. #2, was arrested for public intoxication. Fridrych was released on his own recognizance.
* Jeremy S. Quillen, 19, 3707 Emerald Drive, was arrested for second-degree burglary and assault. Quillen was turned over to Story County Jail officials.
May 28
* Todd Brekke, 28, 5405 Norris St., was arrested for first-offense operating while intoxicated. Brekke was given a citation and released.
* Michael S. Greene, 22, 3103 Ellis St., was arrested for contempt of court for failing to pay parking. Green was released on $110 bond.
* Leonard Keltner, 28, 534 E. Second St., was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and two counts of engaging in prohibited acts. Keltner was turned over to officials at Story County Jail.
May 29
* Jeremiah Norris, 22, Stanton Ave,, was arrested for contempt of court for failing to pay parking and fifth-degree theft. Norris was released on his own recognizance.
* Lisa D. Johnson, 34, Nevada, was arrested for driving while suspended. Johnson was given a citation and released.
* Carl Smock, 41, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested for public intoxication. Smock pleaded guilty and was given time to pay.
