June 12

* A custodian found a pipe in a den at Friley Hall that appeared to have contained burnt marijuana. The pipe was placed into evidence.

* A student living in University Village reported that a former roommate had not paid for long-distance telephone calls he had made. Contact was made with the roommate, and the matter was resolved.

* Austin Norris, 207 Stanton Ave. #5, reported the theft of his bicycle from the west side of the Forker Building. Loss was estimated at $320.

* An employee of Con-struct Inc. reported a dent was put in the driver’s side door of a company truck while it was parked along Osborn Drive. The employee believes it may have been a rock thrown by a lawn mower that was in the area.

June 13

* A case was originated to document a call that had been received the previous evening from Schilleter Village. The incident involved a married couple engaged in an argument. There were no injuries.

June 14

* During a routine traffic stop at State and Arbor Streets, Jane C. Fisher, 20, Story City, was found to be in possession of a substance believed to be marijuana. Fisher was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

* An ISU staff member reported that money was taken from her purse while she was momentarily out of her office located in Bearshear Hall.

* Christina Joyner, 311 Hillcrest Ave., reported the theft of two drawings from a studio in the Armory building. The incident occurred sometime between May 12 and May 23.

* Barry Snyder, Ankeny, reported the theft of his wallet. The incident occurred while he was playing racquetball at Beyer Hall.

* A resident assistant reported a broken window in Room 2220 of Friley Hall. Maintenance personnel was summoned to repair it. Estimated damage was $100.

June 15

* During a routine traffic stop at Lincoln Way and Hyland Avenue, Rebecca L. Meylor, 22, 121 Howard Ave. #102, was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Meylor was arrested and charged with first-offense operating while intoxicated.

* During a routine traffic stop on Mortensen Parkway, Aaron M. Jacobs, 26, Grimes, was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Jacobs was arrested and charged with first-offense operating while intoxicated.

June 16

* During a routine traffic stop at Lincoln Way and Elwood Drive, Derek S. Pett, 18, Roland, was found to have consumed alcohol while under the legal age. Pett was referred to DOT officials for a .02 civil violation.

* DPS received an anonymous report that someone was throwing bicycles in the area of Willow Hall. When officers arrived, they discovered an east-side window had been broken and a damaged bicycle was nearby. Estimated damage was $1,370.

* While checking a pick-up truck with its engine running that was parked on the traveled portion of Mortensen Parkway and Beach Avenue, Aaron J. Crosby, 23, 703 South Dakota Ave., was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Crosby was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated.

* Yi-Yen Chen, 2410 Chamberlain #4, was pulling into a parking stall in Lot 62 when she struck a vehicle owned by Ellen Friberg, 7157 Buchanan Hall. There were no injuries. Estimated damage was $50.

June 17

* During a routine traffic stop at Wilmoth Avenue and Lincoln Way, Chad A. Ebelsheiser, 26, 1311 Douglas Ave., was found to be operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license. Ebelsheiser was arrested and released on citation.

* A DPS officer observed a vehicle being driven without lights at Woodland and West Streets. Lance E. Christians, 21, 703 Arizona Ave., refused to stop, committed a variety of traffic violations, wrecked his car and then fled the scene on foot. Following a brief foot chase, he was apprehended. Christians was arrested and charged with first-offense operating while intoxicated, interference with official acts, reckless driving and numerous other traffic violations.

* Luis F. Aroche, 21, 119A University Village, was arrested for domestic-related assault. He is alleged to have assaulted his wife.

* Melissa Brunia, 2716 Buchanan Hall, reported that someone broke the left rear taillight on her vehicle in Lot 62. Estimated damage was $100.

June 18

* Vasant Honavar, 1023 Florida Ave., was turning from Bissell Road onto Pammel Drive when an eastbound vehicle driven by Shawntelle Madison, 4112 Westbrooke Drive #13 , struck his vehicle. There were no injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
