Standing strong for homosexual rights

Karen Cardona

I’ve been going to college for the past four years.

I’m glad to know that I’m not the only one who stands strongly for homosexual rights.

I truly believe that they are being treated unfairly.

I don’t think the government or the community should have any say about gay and lesbian marriages, unless they are the ones being married.

I’m very disappointed with California, because we have always fought for human rights.

I will never understand why many Californians close the door on homosexuals.

I think we all need someone to remind us of how we all have been helped one way or another.

I believe it’s time for us to pay back and appreciate all the help people have given us (the hispanics).

We don’t know who gave us this help exactly, but we know it’s a person.

What about if you find out the person who’s been helping you is gay or lesbian, would you decline the help?

If many people would answer “no” then I think it’s time for you to do the right thing and fight for them as strangers fought for us.

If some people would say that they would decline the help, then all I could say to you is that you have a lot to learn when it comes to human rights.

You would also need to learn how to be more humble to others.

Let’s not forget that no one likes to be judged, so don’t judge others as you wouldn’t want to be judged.

Unless you walked in their shoes, and maybe not even then.
