For the purpose of maintaining

“… [T]he right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

The Second Amendment to the Constitution was a clear message sent to future leaders by the Founding Fathers of our Nation.

There is no ambiguity in what the preceding words mean, but if one listens to a relatively small minority of Americans, they no longer apply to our society.

Gun control advocates try to claim they do not want to take away the common American’s right to have a gun. They are only trying to stop racists, sociopaths and lunatics from having access to guns. Right? Wrong! They are only trying to hide their hatred for guns.

The racists, sociopaths and lunatics of our society will still find a gun. Or they will drag someone behind their pickup trucks. Or they will tie them to a fence and let them freeze to death. Gun control will not stop them, it will only harm law abiding citizens.

The most dangerous group in America today is the misinformed, misguided people who take part in the “Million Mom March” and other demonstrations intended to disregard the Second Amendment.

If it were not for the Second Amendment, every other right enjoyed by Americans would be mute. The fact that the government is not the only group in America with access to arms is what has allowed our Democracy to survive.

It allows the people to retain their power, while restricting the government from abusing the power delegated to it by the people.
