The information in the log is obtained from Department of Public Safety reports released to the Daily. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in court.

May 22

* An ISU staff member in Davidson Hall reported receiving a harassing voice mail message during the early morning hours of April 20.

* An ISU staff member in State Gym reported damage to an exterior door. Damage was estimated at $25.

* Jamarcus Powers, 4211 Lincoln Swing #13, reported the theft of a diamond earring from the Jacobson Building. Loss was estimated at $299.

May 23

* Stanley Designs personnel reported the theft of a 6-foot ladder and a miter saw from the third floor of the Palmer Building. Loss was estimated at $4,400.

* Two juvenile females reported that a man exposed himself to them outside the Beyer Hall women’s locker room.

May 24

* During a routine traffic stop at Hayward Avenue and Mortensen Parkway, Russell D. Ameter, 25, 1300 Coconino Road, was found to have two unserved suspensions on his driver’s license. The suspensions were served.

* Staff reported a person drove from the Memorial Union ramp without paying the parking fee.

* Jijun Huang, 3053 Gilman Hall, reported that his mountain bicycle was damaged while parked near Pearson Hall. Damage was estimated at $50.

* During a traffic stop on South Fourth Street, it was found that Eric R. Wierson, 30, no address, had an outstanding warrant from the Ames Police Department for simple assault. Wierson was arrested and taken to the Ames Police Station.

* During a routine traffic stop on Pammel Drive, Michael William Kile, 27, 510 Welch Ave., was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Kile was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated.

May 25

* Jiang Dongying, 207 Lynn Ave., reported the theft of her bike from the rack located outside of Black Engineering. Loss was estimated at $80.

* Chikosi K. Walker, 21, 2621 Knapp St., was arrested on a warrant charging him with harassment. Walker is alleged to have harassed an acquaintance.
