The information in the blotter is obtained from the Ames Police Department arrest book. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in court.
May 14
* Emily Griggs, 18, Story City, was arrested for contempt of court. Griggs was released on $325 cash bond.
* Tarik Haidar, 25, Wetaskiwin, Canada, was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Haidar posted $1,950 cash bond.
May 15
* Brian E. Ties, 24, 135 N. Wilmoth Ave., was arrested for first-offense operating while intoxicated. Ties was released on citation.
* Gregory J. Crouse, 21, 319 Stanton Ave., was arrested on three warrants for failing to appear and for failing to pay parking. Crouse was given time to pay.
* Atiba A. Spellman, 26, Des Moines, was arrested for violating a no-contact order and traffic interference. Spellman was turned over to the Story County Jail.
* Chase D. Swanson, 22, 2607 Knapp St., was arrested for third-degree theft. Swanson was released on his own recognizance.
* William Carlisle, 19, 5205 Fourth St. #36, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Carlisle was turned over to the Story County Jail.
May 17
* Benjamin A. Newhouse, 22, 1300 Coconino Road #118, was arrested for public intoxication. Newhouse was released on citation.
May 18
* Bradley P. Schutte, 21, 259 Hyland Ave., was arrested for public intoxication. Schutte was given a citation and released.
* Scott W. Lester, 20, 259 Hyland Ave., was arrested for public intoxication. Lester was given a citation and released.
* Joesph A. Tolle, 25, 1215 Florida Ave. #413, was arrested on three warrants for contempt of court and failure to pay parking. Tolle was turned over to the Story County Jail.
* Benjamin J. Kooiker, 22, 2728 Lincoln Way #1, was arrested on a warrant for assault. Kooiker was released on a $325 cash bond.
* Emery Nez, 32, 202 E. Lincoln Way #121, was arrested for public intoxication. Nez pleaded guilty and was fined $155.
May 19
* Diane M. Grady, 21, 826 Dickinson St. #9, was arrested for public intoxication. Grady was given a citation and released.
May 20
* Joesph H. Bass, 48, no permanent address, was arrested for public intoxication. Bass pleaded guilty and was fined $155.
* Dewey J. Purkeypile, 22, 201 Howard Ave. #5, was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Purkeypile was given a citation and released.
* Kelly P. Minnihan, 20, Maryville, Mo., was arrested for public intoxication. Minnihan was fined and released.
* Richard N. Lamoureux, 20, Maryville, Mo., was arrested for public intoxication. Lamoureux was fined and released.
* Michael P. Happe, 21, 3305 Emerald Drive, was arrested for public intoxication and providing alcohol to underage persons. Happe was given a citation and released.
May 21
* Kane McCutchan, 29, 301 Main St. #308, was arrested for third-offense operating while intoxicated. McCutchan was turned over to Story County Jail.
* Mark Veilleux, 30, no address, was arrested for public intoxication. Veilleux pleaded guilty and was fined $415.
May 22
* Jaimeel Grimsley, 20, 209 Howard St., was arrested on six warrants for failing to appear. Grimsley was turned over to the Story County Sheriff’s Office.
* Marvin L. Dejear, 24, 245 S. Franklin Ave., was arrested on a warrant for delivering controlled substances. Dejear was turned over to the Story County Sheriff’s Office.
May 23
* Jill M. Gorshe, 21, 230 Campus Ave. #317, was arrested for public intoxication. Gorshe was given a citation and released.
* Sarah J. Tallackson, 22, 2907 West St., was arrested for public intoxication. Tallackson was given a citation and released.
* Jeremy S. Lind, 18, Ogden, was arrested for fourth-degree theft. Lind was given a citation and released.
* Keith L. Niebur, 21, 125 Wilmoth Ave., was arrested for first-offense operating while intoxicated. Niebur was released to his parents.
May 24
* Jason Sampson, 29, Crystal Beach, Texas, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Sampson was released on his own recognizance.
* Michael T. Damske, 30, 407 S. Fifth St. #133, was arrested for prohibited acts and possession of a controlled substance. Damske was released on his own recognizance.
* James J. Rock III, 18, 627 Northwestern Ave., was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Rock was given a citation and released.
