Love and sex

Joelle Andrew

To the editor:

Bialota asked, “If nature wanted homosexual relationships, why didn’t it give homosexuals the means to have children and thrive? Doesn’t this make you wonder whether homosexuality is something nature intended?” in his letter on Thursday, April 13.

Using this logic, the following would have to be true: Nature did not intend for heterosexual men and women who cannot “normally” have children (sterile, low sperm count, other health risks, etc.) to have sex. Does Bialota want to go there?

If Bialota is going to ask questions, the better question to ask is can you be in love with someone without ever having sex with them?
