To the editor:

Knowledge of the Ten Commandments has never prevented despicable conduct among Jews, Muslims or Christians, all of whom revere the commandments as part of their scriptural heritage.ÿ

Oceans of blood have been let by past members of all three of these great religions, as we know from the Old Testament itself and from the more reliable accounts by renowned historical scholars.ÿ

A most recent and visible proof of this of this is afforded by the news now unfolding about the “Christian doomsday cult” in Uganda.ÿ

The death toll due to suicide or murder or both has surpassed 900 as I write, with all the victims reportedly being members ofÿ this Christian group.ÿ

Significantly, the name of the group is The Movement for the Restoration of the Ten Commandments of God.
