Don’t sell eggs, OK?

To the editor:

I am writing in response to the letter, Donating eggs, by Rachel Hein on Feb. 22. I would like to say I agree with her on this topic and women should not be selling their eggs for money.

She made the point that 6 billion people already are living here on earth and they are striving for space. Also, she pointed out 40,000 children die of starvation every day.

The point of women selling their eggs in the first place is to give women a chance who are not able to get pregnant to have a child.

I feel for these women, especially if they are married and want a family.

I have a problem with egg-selling because children are already on this earth without home, food or family.

Every day, teen-agers give birth to children and put them up for adoption because they cannot give them a good home or they do not want them.

If people want to pay money for an egg that is not their own, they are not responsible to begin with.

There are children born every minute that need these people to spend money on them, to love them and take care of them.

It is awful to see people trying to make money off of other people’s inability to produce eggs and get pregnant.

It is also awful to see a child born without a home and someone to take care of them. Women should stop buying eggs and start taking care of the children already here.
