PLAYER OF THE GAME
Jamaal Tinsley.
The junior point guard was again nothing short of amazing, picking apart the Bruin defense from the opening tip to the final buzzer. Spin moves, no-look passes and the ever-present finger-roll all made the long trip from Ames.

Opportunistic forward Stevie Johnson found himself all alone with the ball under the UCLA basket. An athletic dunk gave the Cyclones a 61-43 lead.
STAT SHEET
Tinsley came one rebound away from a triple-double, scoring 14, dishing 11 assists and pulling down nine caroms. The flashy point guard also managed four steals for good measure.
OFF THE BENCH
Despite failing to score, junior Paul Shirley’s first court appearance in weeks was Iowa State’s bench highlight of the night. Brandon Hawkins and Martin Rancik also combined for nine points.
