Ever since Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s show “South Park” hit Comedy Central in 1997, there has been a craze of faithful followers eating up everything they dish out. Continuing the wild phenomenon of “South Park,” the creators have collaborated with Acclaim to release a second video game featuring all of your favorite “Parkies,” titled “Chef’s Love Shack.”

Unlike the previous “South Park” video game, “Chef’s Love Shack” wouldn’t fall into an action/adventure category. The latest release is more of a game show that uses trivia from the program.

Even if you hadn’t finished high school and have a hard time reading, let alone figuring out trivia (like many “South Park” fans), this game can even be fun for you. It includes many “mini” games within it, calling to mind Nickelodeon’s “Double Dare.”

The main part of the game combines “Hollywood Squares” and “Jeopardy.” Chef, the kids’ horny lunch-room cook, adds awesome comedy as host of the game show. Up to four people can select either Cartman, Stan, Kyle or Kenny as their characters, and select the number of rounds for the game to last.

The objective is to outscore your opponents by quickly and correctly answering questions. After a few questions are asked and answered, players have another opportunity to gain points through the various mini games. There’s a total of 20 mini games throughout, all following different themes from past episodes that many fans will get a kick out of.

The game “Asses in Space,” highly resembles the old Atari favorite “Asteroids” but … well, you get the picture. “Beefcake” is a game where you have to balance cans of Weight Gain 4000 on Cartman’s belly. “Bad Kitty” is a parody of “Donkey Kong.” Instead of Kong and Mario, the characters are Cartman and his kitty.

This game isn’t for everyone, especially kids, but it has great entertainment value for big “South Park” fans. If you are not familiar with the show, you not only will hate this game, you will probably be offended.

If you are looking for a truly fun game that is hilarious, especially when you’re drunk around the TV with the boys, you won’t be disappointed. Be careful, though; after a few times without different people to play it with you, it gets boring.
