To the editor:
What is going on in America? Liberals are challenging inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of private gun ownership? Those Boston militiamen must be turning over in their graves.
The logical and practical America our forefathers envisioned, one where acceptance is customary, doesn’t yet exist. I, for one, will not compromise my rights just because some inner city, poor kids are shooting each other. Probably would have grown up to be drug dealers anyway, might as well weed them out early.
I say lets increase handgun distribution. When the 18th birthday rolls around, you get a draft card, a 357 and a confederate flag tattooed on your ass. That’s America, baby!
Great Britain is over there telling us they outlawed handguns and there were only 12 handgun homicides last year. Twelve people out of whatever million still got their hands on a gun? I told you people would still find a way to get them. Plus, Americans are much more violent, irrational and desensitized than the Brits, so obviously we need more guns. It’s common sense.
Sixteen thousand plus handgun deaths in America last year, but I bet 40 or 50 of those were criminals, so I am content with the way things are.
Our first mistake is putting a face on the victims, especially the damn kids. This will do nothing but cloud our logical minds with unneeded “emotion” and warp our political agendas. We made a mistake with Prohibition, let’s not do that again.
Let’s not just stop with the handgun issue either. America is working diligently to reach that plateau I like to call fueda-capitalism.
The holy land is within our grasps. Ten percent of the population owns over 80 percent of the wealth! Does anyone else see anything wrong with that? Who the hell has the other 20? Better not be those damn gays, blacks, women or immigrants.
It’s not corporate America’s fault that 35 million people live in poverty or that 44 million are without health insurance. Stop complaining and do something about it! Just because you can’t put food on the table doesn’t mean you can’t live a normal, economically prosperous life.
The Christian Conservatives have been right all along. Ask George W. Bush, who credits Jesus Christ as his greatest influence. Over 140 executions during his reign as chancellor of Texas. Jesus would be proud. We all know of his love for capital punishment.
Never mind that Sixth Commandment. We are pro-life, we’ll kill who deserves to die. And if one or two of those turned out to be innocent, no biggie. Just martyrs in this revolution to make America a better, more moral place.
Let’s stick with logic. Political agendas and self-interests should be our priority. Christ would agree. Let’s continue to tear down forests and destroy the global ecosystem. Let’s fatten the pockets of big business, while crushing the lower class and eliminating the middle class. Bunch of liberals.
Let’s turn our heads to discrimination and deny the existence of racial profiling. Let’s condone the bombing of abortion clinics and have the state murder another human being.
Let’s cut welfare from the bottom feeders. Let’s bulk up our diminishing military and pay a woman a fraction of a man’s salary for an equal days work.
And damn those immigrants, thinking that the whole “Give us your poor…” quote on the Statue of Liberty means anything.
Get with the program, times change. This country wasn’t founded on freedoms like that. Ask the pilgrims.
Jesus is on the Christian right’s side. After all, he lived with the poor, the sick, the elderly, the young, the exiled, the vanquished, the criminals and prostitutes, the workers, the discriminated. He knows what a burden they are to a country.
The only way to get better is to never acknowledge the existence of a problem. As long as we don’t see what is going on down there, we don’t have to experience that dreaded “emotion.”
People, guns are just the tip of the iceberg. Give that to the liberals and they will start asking for crazy things like equality and tolerance. In order to bring this country to the mecca of fueda-capitalism we need to unite. Unite against the liberal scum that slithers beneath our superior socio-economic throne.
Raise the flag, grab your gun, whistle “Dixie” and lets build that wall. Only then will America become what the Christian conservatives and Jesus Christ envisions it to be: a Conservative utopia of greed and intolerance. And I ask this through Christ our lord, Amen.
