To the editor:

Wednesday, Jan. 26, I went to the ISU men’s basketball game. I was in town to see my alma mater kick some butt! I was excited to go to the game and cheer the Cyclones to victory. I was shocked at what I witnessed.

Where was everyone? I realize it was Wednesday night, but come on! The men have playing awesome, tickets were $3, and no one was there.

The fans that were there were dead. Even though the cheer squad and small clusters of die-hard fans, like myself, tried to get the crowd to make some noise, we were not successful until the last two minutes of the game.

I was extremely disappointed with the lack of fan support. What happened to HILTON MAGIC?! The fans are the sixth man on the team. We need to cheer and make noise when the team is struggling, and the team was definitely struggling Wednesday.

Hilton has never been that quiet before, and I have never seen a more sorry group of fans, if you can call them fans! Get off your butts, and go cheer the ISU basketball teams on to victory!
