To the editor:

I strongly encourage all students to vote for Rick Cordaro and Alex Olson for president and vice president in the Government of the Student Body elections. Rick and Alex are committed to GSB.

They have worked diligently as GSB Senators to improve the ISU experience for students.

Rick and Alex have proven themselves as leaders time and time again.

Chairing committees and sub-committees, working directly with students and other students leaders are both things that Rick and Alex have done for the students.

The GSB vice president is the chair of the GSB senate, a very intimidating and complex task. Only one of the vice presidential candidates has real experience chairing the senate.

That man is Alex Olson. As Speaker of the Senate, Alex knows the GSB Constitution, bylaws and parliamentary procedure.

He has worked to clarify and improve both the bylaws and constitution, giving the student body the most power in their government.

Rick Cordaro has been a real leader for students. He has worked to make voting more accessible to students through online voting. Working with the GSB/IRHA committee, Rick makes student voices heard. Rick has the ability to communicate students’ wants and needs to the administration.

He can and will fight for the students.

Rick Cordaro and Alex Olson have the knowledge, experience and motivation to do the job and do it well.
