The Waldorf College Choir, from Forest City, will travel to Ames this weekend to perform a concert at the Bethesda Lutheran Church, 1517 Northwestern Ave.

“The usual repertoire of the choir includes mostly sacred music,” said Bradley Creswell, Waldorf College Choir conductor.

The choir’s impressive performances include concerts throughout the United States, Canada, Poland, the Czech and Slovak republics, Hungary, Austria and Germany.

The Waldorf Choir is the second oldest collegiate ensemble in the United States singing a cappella.

“We look forward to sharing our music through Christian love, in excellence and the spirit of Jesus Christ,” Creswell said.

Located in North Central Iowa, Waldorf College is an independent college of liberal arts and sciences.

Over 600 students attend the college, which is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

No admission charge will be taken for the concert. However, a free-will offering will be taken.

The concerts will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. and during the Sunday worship services at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
