Slipknot released a home video Nov. 9, titled “Welcome to Our Neighborhood.” The video soared above the ranks to land at the top of the Billboard music video chart.

“Welcome to Our Neighborhood” contains live concert footage and home video-style interviews, but it also features the music video for “Spit It Out,” which was quietly rejected by MTV as being too vulgar.

The title sold more than 10,000 copies at SoundScan stores, beating videos from Madonna and Shania Twain that came out during the same week.

The nine-man band is currently on tour with Biohazard and The Step Kings. They recently stopped by Iowa City and are extending their hardcore outreach to Minneapolis tonight at the Quest Club.

Some out-of-towners are coming to Ames for an all-ages show at People’s Bar and Grill with Mr. Plow and 35″ Mudder. St. Louis band Big Blue Monkey and Minneapolis-based Strate Jak It will add to Saturday’s lineup. Doors open at 4 p.m. Cover is $5.
