Flu shots still available

Iowa State faculty and staff still can get free flu shots until Friday.

The shots are offered from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Room 205 of the Technical Administrative Service Facility between Spedding and Gilman halls. No appointments are necessary.

Since the free clinic began on Oct. 21, the occupational medical staff of the Student Health Center has given 2,239 shots.

United Way campaign continues

The deadline for Iowa State to meet its United Way campaign goal is Dec. 1, and the total still is more than $3,000 short of the $170,000 university officials hope to raise.

Murray Blackwelder, vice president for External Affairs, said he encourages all faculty and staff as well as students to donate whatever they can to meet this goal.

Contributions can be made through departmental United Way coordinators.
