The Ames City Council will hold a meeting to discuss proposed changes to the existing floodplain and floodway boundaries tonight at 7 in the City Hall council chambers, 515 Clark Ave.

The agenda includes a presentation on the existing floodplain components, an explanation of why the floodplain should be revised and the changes caused by floods since 1993, according to a press release.

After the presentation, speakers will be open to questions from the audience. The public is invited to attend.
