Applequist bitter

Jonathan Wilson

Miss Applequist is misinformed, ignorant and bitter.

Her letter had many misguided and preposterous claims and left out the facts. Uri Sellers and his friends were not terrorizing smaller partiers. It was a private fraternity party. Sellers had an invitation, Michael Runyan and Luke Abrams did not.

When Runyan and Abrams attempted to enter, two other individuals told them they were not welcome. When Runyan and Abrams started an argument, several people, including Sellers, tried to get them to leave.

Applequist’s claim of self defense is ludicrous. Runyan and Abrams were never threatened verbally or physically by Sellers. There is no rational claim to self defense.

Also, Runyan had a 7-inch steak knife, not a pocket knife.

Uri Sellers was a large, athletic individual, but Runyan was not small physically.

Mentally, he was a moron. Socially, he was an idiot who hung out with his fellow skanks and scurves. Maybe he did hold some profound hatred against the popular, partiers and jocks, but does that give him a green light for murder? Why don’t you go down to the prison where he is currently serving a life sentence without chance of parole and ask him?

I suspect Miss Applequist holds many of the same hatreds.

Nobody condones randomly assaulting people. The court in Nevada agreed by sending Runyan away for good. The only thing more disturbing than knowing there are people like Michael Runyan out is knowing there are people as misinformed, ignorant, envious and bitter as Wendy Applequist out there.
