Screw America

Eric Hiatt

I decided long ago that I am not an American. I have gone beyond apathy toward the concept of hatred for it. To say that the idea of an American is mere propaganda or B.S. is to be too obvious or too nice. I don’t believe any decent human would want to be labeled with the term after considering its implications.

Elton Wong’s article illustrates one of the many reasons I feel this way. The U.S. government is directly responsible for the murder, rape, torture and mutilation of millions of people. It has committed these atrocities under many guises. Sometimes it’s called freedom. Then again, maybe it’s a “Domino Theory,” maybe it’s democracy or maybe it’s some other complete load of crap.

I don’t care what you call it. This is not the world I want to live in. When I imagine someone, even an American soldier, shooting people hiding under a bridge, I want to crush his skull. There is no justification, there is only abomination, and it needs to be burned off the face of this Earth. Every element in the chain of command responsible for such activities deserves no less.

I don’t know if No Gun Ri even happened. I’ve done no research on No Gun Ri, but I can accept it without surprise because history tells me America has done it again and again. I don’t care to investigate another atrocity. I can only endure so much tragedy.

So, screw America. Its world is not my world. I have much higher hopes for mankind than No Gun Ri, and I am staying way the hell away from it. And, America, next time you blow 4 million innocent people to oblivion, I hope you have something better than a “theory” to justify it.
