Who in his right mind scheduled THE rival game between Iowa State and the University of Iowa at 6:00 at night?

Fans from both teams had hours to get loaded and be in the “right” competitive mood.

Many students were jumped and hurt as they were coming out of the stadium in the dark.

Police anywhere?

My son ended up in the emergency room with an eye injury caused by a roaring drunk U of I fan who was just looking for victims after the game.

His doctor will decide on Tuesday whether he needs eye surgery. ISU sold 50,402 tickets on Saturday.

I hope the Athletic Department puts all this money to good use and schedules more night games (yeah, I know, big bucks is the name of the game – uh huh).

And, yes, ISU administration, please keep preaching for alcohol-free Veishea and more good times! It pays.
