First off, Mr. Lashier, I would like to thank you for your column on Tuesday.

I think that your boldness and ideas are to be commended. Just like you stated in your article, Christians should “let others know where they stand regardless of the consequences,” and that’s exactly what you did.

I have seen those consequences, after reading the letters to the editor on Wednesday, Sept. 22. I feel those are perfect examples of persecution and want to encourage you not to let them get you down! There are others standing behind you on this issue, and plenty of them.

I second your call to Christians to not back down, to continue worshipping and praying, and to let their voices be heard. As we all know, this world is lost and hurting, and we Christians need to speak out!

Well, thanks once again for your article and willingness to lay out the truth.

I pray that God continues to use your words in mighty ways.
