‘Phish’ to come to Hilton

Daily Staff Writer

Fire up your Volkswagen bus and grab your hookah; Phish is coming to town. The fabled jam-band will bring their eclectic sound to Hilton Coliseum Oct. 1 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets will go on sale Saturday, Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. Tickets will cost $25 and be available at the Iowa State Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations.

Phish previously played at Hilton on Nov. 14, 1996.

Even before their first album, “Junta,” was released in 1988, Phish was already building a strong fan base with it’s live shows.

Often compared to The Grateful Dead, Phish is best known for its extended live jams and never playing the same live set twice.

Phish has released 10 albums since signing with Elektra in 1992, including their latest, “The Story of the Ghost,” released in 1998.
