Ignorance makes a terrible American

Yueming Jiang

For Mr. Hindman’s information, I am not a communist, but I understand communism and capitalism. I didn’t request anything, I just said leave us alone. Every country has the right to choose its own economic system.

America is the technology center of the world. We come to learn. But please forget the reduced fee for education.

Does your education require you to work to midnight or 2:00 a.m. every day? Probably not.

If we used the same time to work for a company, we would get more than just reduced fees.

But I’m still very happy to thank Iowa State for giving me the chance to study here. I believe I’m making my contribution to it “becoming the best.”

And lastly, to show my sincere appreciation for his offer of a ride, I’d like to correct another mistake Mr. Hindman made. Being outspoken doesn’t make a terrible American, nor does being opinionated. But ignorance and presumptuousness do.
