If you’re so unhappy, go home

Pat Hindman

Mr. Jiang, a guest in our country, is out of line in his response to Mr. Woell’s article.

However, I believe we should honor his request for being left alone so he and his government can go about existing in the world in their chosen fashion.

He may be a very good communist, but I don’t think we need him. It may be best if he packs his bags and climbs onto an airplane departing for China.

Out of the kindness of my huge American heart, he doesn’t have to worry about the long bike ride to the airport.

I will gladly deliver him to the plane.

I just don’t want anyone to be so unhappy in my country.

Granted, he would lose his reduced-fee graduate education, but that, indeed, may be the real price of education.

Sure, I’m a terrible American. I’m opinionated and outspoken. But, I was given that honor.

It is MY birthright. I don’t know that Mr. Jiang can claim his opinions as well as his being coddled by Iowa State (China U.) is a part of his birthright.

I am sincere, though.

Sincere enough to let him know I won’t miss him.
