Iowa State has announced six finalists in the search for a new provost.

The finalists are Ann Hill Dunn, vice provost for Instructional Technology and University Partnerships, executive director of the University of Minnesota at Rochester; Brian Foster, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and professor of anthropology at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln; Lonnie King, dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University, East Lansing; Rollin Richmond, provost and executive vice president for Academic Affairs and professor of ecology and evolutionary biology at the State University of New York, Stony Brook; Walter Wendler, executive assistant to the president and professor of architecture at Texas A&M University, College Station; Jane Winer, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and professor of psychology at Texas Tech University, Lubbock.

Each candidate will visit ISU for two days in April, in which time an open forum and diversity forum will be held.

Richard Seagrave, distinguished professor of chemical engineering, currently is serving as interim provost.
