Daily biased

Ksenija Pavlovic

I am writing this letter to express my concern about the style of articles that the Daily picks from the associated press about the situation in Kosovo.

How can you be so one-sided and prejudiced against all people of Serbia? Don’t you understand they are people too, and the NATO bombs kill them every day? Don’t you think NATO is committing genocide of the people of Serbia as I am writing this?

Their country is getting destroyed, their families killed by the bombs every day. Everything they have is turning into rubble. Why don’t you put articles in your Associated Press report about 20 women and children killed Tuesday by a NATO bomb falling on the shelter in a town of Surdulici?

Why don’t you publish articles about Milica, a little girl getting killed by a forbidden cluster bomb while going to the bathroom? Why don’t you publish any articles about 19 journalists and technical personnel killed a couple days ago because they were showing different news than CNN, although CNN, BBC, SKY are broadcasted in Yugoslavia? ÿWhy don’t you write about thousands and thousands of Serbian refugees in Hungary and neighboring countries getting mistreated and not allowed to get visas because they are Serbs?

What about protests all over the world that happen every day in a hope to prevent this madness of destroying a sovereign state?ÿ

My list can go on indefinitely, but you have to make the first step and admit to yourself that NATO is destroying one whole country and its people. You have to open your eyes and understand that they are people just like you and me here dying there every day. These people are not collateral damage as NATO claims; they are real human beings.
