I felt that Amanda Knief’s coverage of the George Strait Country Music Festival was just about par for the Daily. The Dixie Chicks put on a good show, Asleep At The Wheel did OK, as did Mark Wills. Jo Dee Messina and Kenny Chesney put on a great show. But Tim McGraw and George Strait, as should be expected ,put on a helluva show.

If Amanda Knief knew anything about George Strait, she would know that George Strait just stands up and plays his songs for two hours. That is a signature Strait concert!

So next time when George Strait comes to Iowa State, I hope the Daily will get it STRAIT and send someone who knows something about the artist to cover the concert.
