Senators to hand over reins

The Government of the Student Body will meet tonight in the Campanile Room of the Memorial Union at 7. Students are encouraged to attend. The following bills will be discussed:
Seating bills
- A bill seeks to seat Michelle Bauer as a supreme court associate justice of the student body. By Johnson and Olson.
Old business
- A bill titled “KURE Addressing the Concerns of the Iowa State Community” seeks funding for a new talk-system telephone. By Toay, Morris and others.
New business
- A bill titled “Supporting an Iowa State Women’s Volleyball Club” seeks to fund nine members of the volleyball team to go to the National United States Volleyball Association. By Olson and Blackburn.
- A bill titled “New Student Day Funding” seeks to fund student days to help introduce more than 3,000 new students to the campus and community. By Golding and Spencer.
- A bill titled “Rules for Finance Employment” seeks rules of finance employment in the bylaws. By Johnson, Olson and others.
- A bill titled “Cleaning up Chapter 11” seeks to clean up Chapter 11 of the GSB bylaws. By Johnson, Pogge and Olson.
- A resolution titled “Congratulating the Wrestling Team” seeks to recognize the accomplishments of the wrestling team and wish them continued success. By Johnson, Blackburn and others.
- A bill seeks to adjourn the 1998-99 GSB senate. By Pogge, Johnson and others.
The 1999-2000 GSB president, vice president and senators will be sworn in during the meeting. They will vote on the following bills when called to order after the 1998-99 senate has adjourned:

- A bill seeks to seat Jeremy Williams as finance director. By Olson, Pogge and others.
- A bill seeks to seat Heather Childs as chief of staff. By Olson, Pogge and others.
- A bill seeks to seat the executive cabinet, including David Roepke as assistant chief of staff; Adam Holt as director of recreation and intramural; Alison Storm as secretary; Ann Maas as treasurer; Scott Bersheid as director of human relations; Jason Horek as director of public information; Carrie Seim as director of lectures, arts and entertainment; Kevin Bell as director of minority affairs; Erik Heggen as director of academic affairs; Zach Morrison as director of traffic, safety and transportation; Jared McLaren as co-director of technological information; and Barry Snell as co-director of technological information.
