Regents approve budget items

The Iowa State Board of Regents met Wednesday and approved the following items:

  • The initial approval to raise the room and board rate by 6.3 percent.
  • A 4-H/Extension Building Project, which will construct a facility to consolidate the 4-H Youth Development Program and portions of the ISU Extension Office.
  • The Honors Program Building Project, which will construct a facility to relocate the Honors Program from Osborn Cottage.
  • The Reiman Gardens Conservatory Complex Project, which will construct a facility to include a garden conservatory, greenhouse, auditorium, meeting rooms and office space.
  • The project description and budget for the Institutional Roads Projects—Reconstruct Daley Drive Project in the amount of $300,000, which will reconstruct the roadway to provide adequate service to the Library Storage Facility and the Administrative Services Facility Office Building.
  • A revised budget in the amount of about $1 million for the Molecular Biology Building-Lower Level Renovation Project.
  • A revised budget for the Institutional Roads-Special Maintenance Project in the amount of about $430,000.
