Studenski/Hattan not ready for public life

David Cmelik

If more than three people were paying attention to the student government debates this year, they’d laugh candidates Benjamin Studenski and Jeremy Hattan out of the race for proposing an unworkable, bureaucratic donation system for student fees.

Not only will a so-called check-off create reams and reams of additional government paperwork, it seriously jeopardizes student funding for popular fees line items like the Rec, club sports and the lectures program.

It’s irresponsible of both Studenski and Hattan to suggest more bureaucracy that will hurt the majority of students on this campus — GSB does hardly anything at all right now, but that’s better than the havoc it will wreak if Studenski or Hattan are elected.

And I say “No, Thanks” to a miniscule eight dollar refund.

Add up the clubs, services, and a host of other activities and you’ll find that this silly check-off is just another hare-brained GSB idea that proves neither Studenski nor Hattan are ready for public life.
