After two long years of work, the Gram Parsons tribute album finally has a release date and a name.
“Return of the Grievous Angel: A Tribute to Gram Parsons” should be available in mid-May via Almo Sounds, according to Rocktropolis.
Upon purchasing the album you’ll hear Emmylou Harris collaborate with The Pretenders, Beck and Sheryl Crow, as well as covers from Elvis Costello, Wilco, Cowboy Junkies, Evan Dando and Juliana Hatfield, and Lucinda Williams with David Crosby.
Ah, remember those wild and crazy Weird Al Yankovic videos of yesteryear? Well, the Black Crowes have decided to clench the services of the goofster for its upcoming video, “Only a Fool.”
“It’s weird,” Chris Robinson told Kevin Raub of Rocktropolis. The King of Parody-induced video will appear on MTV within the next few weeks.
The folks at Matador Records have announced June 8 as the release date for the new Pavement album, which is still untitled at this point.

Jay-Z is the man to see if you need some hip, new garb. His Roc-A-Wear line of clothing will feature sweaters, T-shirts, hats, sweat suits, jeans and coats, according to Rocktropolis.
Roc-A-Wear was designed by Comet Group, who also created Wu-Wear for the Wu-Tang Clan. Needless to say, Jay-Z’s “hard knock life” will probably be not-so-hard when pieces of the line appear in stores this August.
Some fun in the summer sun is coming your way thanks to the Vans’ Warped Tour. Although not all of the bands have been declared yet for the North American tour, Pennywise, Blink 182, Less Than Jake and Grinspoon will definitely contribute to the high-energy festival beginning June 1 in Austin, Texas.
The hip-hop and heavier acts haven’t been confirmed yet, according to Rocktropolis.
The Vans’ Warped Tour will hit the Midwest in mid-July, with exact venues to be announced.
