The Government of the Student Body will meet tonight at 7 in the Gallery Room of the Memorial Union. All students are encouraged to attend. The following bills will be discussed:

Old business

  • A bill seeks to fund the purchase of more vehicles for student use. By Pogge, Johnson and others.
  • A bill seeks to fund the replacement of a GSB van. By Olson and Davis.
  • A bill seeks to replace the Off-Campus Council with the Off-Campus Government. By Olson, Brus and others.
  • A bill seeks to fund the replacement of an alarm system in the student offices of the Memorial Union. By Johnson, Blackburn and others.
  • A bill seeks to allocate funds from the George Washington Carver account toward various other events and programs. By Johnson, Ruehlander and others.
  • A bill seeks to fund the upcoming GSB leadership banquet. By Johnson and Pogge.
  • A bill seeks to propose the allocation of next year’s student fees to the senate.
  • A bill seeks to approve the finance committee’s funding allocation recommendations for student groups next year. By Pogge and Johnson.

New business

  • A bill seeks to adjust the timeline for the seating of the finance committee. By Olson and Pogge.
  • A bill seeks to strike the NTS@ISU as a constituency council for non-traditional students from the GSB bylaws. By Olson and Spencer.
  • A bill seeks to take money from the discretionary fund to set up a reward for information leading to the prosecution of students who damaged property during Thursday night’s riot. By Erickson, Applequist and others.
  • A bill seeks funding for new computers in the student office space of the Memorial Union. By Pogge, Johnson and others.
  • A bill seeks to amend the GSB bylaws so that specialty seat councils will not be able to apply for funding through the regular allocations process. By Tew, Robert and others.
  • A bill seeks to fund senate orientation for the senate orientation committee. By Golding and Spencer.
  • A bill seeks to fund the LeaderShape Institute Scholarship. By Golding, Olson and others.
  • A resolution seeks to denounce the actions of students who behaved irresponsibly during the recent riot. By Pogge, Olson and others.
  • A resolution seeks to condemn the actions of those involved in the March 26 riots. By Erickson, Applequist and others.
  • A resolution seeks to congratulate the ISU women’s basketball team. By Olson, McLaren and others.
