Get facts straight

Bernie Elliott

In response to Mr. Jerdon’s article in the March 2 edition, I am sorry to say your clever writing talents were wasted in an effort to discuss a topic you know nothing about.

I am suggesting more research would have been helpful.

DNA fingerprinting is a simple process where restriction analysis is used to identify individuals.

Much like a fingerprint, this process results in a photographic image similar to a bar code.

This photograph does not convey the type of information that Mr. Jerdon suggested.

If it would make him happier, he could write to the state of Louisiana and suggest that they initiate a retinal screening program instead.

In addition, I would also like to say that regardless of what you may believe, you do pay the police to drive around looking for drunk drivers and speeders (and a handful of other tasks to boot).

If your intention was to put the people against Janet Reno, you have failed.

If you are going to recycle current issues, you could at least try to know what you are talking about.
