Funding bills were the primary subject of discussion at the Government of the Student Body meeting Wednesday night.
One of the bills on last week’s agenda, titled “Helping to Preserve the Gaffer’s Guild,” was tabled at that meeting and was up for discussion again at Wednesday’s meeting. The bill sought funding to help preserve the Gaffer’s Guild and was passed with a vote of 35-1, granting the club $12,310.
Another bill sought funding for new color guard uniforms for the Anchor and Chain Society. The bill was brought up under new business and will be discussed further and voted on at the next GSB meeting.
A bill seeking funding for the ISU men’s hockey team was categorized as new business, but it was voted on after its second reading was waived. The bill passed unanimously with a vote of 36-0, granting $6,455.44 to the team.
After the funding bills were discussed, the senate went into a closed executive session.
