Wallet woes wane

Stephen Garst

On Jan. 13, my wife and I went to an Iowa State Cyclone basketball game to watch the Cyclones beat Colorado.

During the evening I purchased a pop from my seat.

When I arrived home in Coon Rapids, I was shocked to find my billfold was missing. The last place I remembered I had it was when I bought the bottle of pop.

As soon as I discovered my billfold was missing I called ISU campus security and gave them my seat number. I was told Hilton was closed.

The following day Matt Franco, an employee of ISU telephoned and said an usher, Michele Kohrs had found my billfold and gave it to Anna Lamp who delivered the billfold to the office where he had put it into the safe at Hilton Coliseum.

When Matt telephoned he wondered whether I would pick it up or should they mail it to me.

They shipped via Federal Express, and the billfold arrived on Jan. 15 at my office. To my amazement, nothing had been taken or lost.

I would like to commend all your staff at ISU for doing such a fine job.

It is nice to know there are many honest people working on the staff at the Hilton Coliseum. I thank all concerned. You are great people.
