Committee forms to find Ag Dean

The university has formed a search committee to find a replacement for Dean of the College of Agriculture David Topel. The committee will start its search in early March.

Interim Provost Richard Seagrave has named 19 members to the committee.

Harley Moon, professor of veterinary pathology, will lead the committee to replace Topel, who announced early this school year that he will step down as dean. However, Topel will remain on the faculty.

The committee includes two deans, 12 other faculty members, a director of Extension, two students and two Iowa businesspersons.
