A Dark day

— Corey Moss

It is with great regret that I must announce that The Dark Knight has left the building for the final time.

Don’t worry, he isn’t dead. He has just left Ames and HOT 105 KCCQ, thus we will no longer be able to present the 2 DJs and a Boombox column.

When asked why he was leaving, DK could only say this, “I have been called to save the radio listeners of another area, where great hit music, free stuff and freaky guys with big mics are under attack.”

“I feel I must go, if only to keep them from listening to Percy Faith and Montavonni twenty-four-seven.”

Unfortunately, DK could not say where he was going, as it would endanger his mission.

“I can only hope that one day I will be able to return to the fine listeners of central Iowa — they have been good to me,” he said.

“I wish to thank all the kats and kiddies who have listened and enjoyed me over these last years, and to those that didn’t, I can only say … pull that stump outta your butt!”

So, the Dark Knight has gone on to fight for truth, justice, all-you-can-eat buffets, Twinkies, Ho-Ho’s and the right for all to enjoy a little radio love.

Please join me in wishing him well; he will be missed.

One, two, three … scissors cut paper. I win!
