A memorial service for Joan Dee Rottler, Iowa State instructor of religious studies, will be held Monday in the Campanile Room of the Memorial Union.

Rottler, 55, was a faculty member in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies for 11 years. She died Nov. 21, after a four-year battle with breast cancer. Her funeral service was held in Des Moines Saturday.

Some of the courses Rottler taught during her time at ISU include “Women and Religion” and “World Religion.”

A scholarship for students who are majoring in religious studies is being established in her memory.

Contributions or gifts to the fund can be sent to the ISU Foundation, marked “attn: Joan Dee Rottler Memorial Fund.”
