Do we as a people want a government that determines right or wrong, legal or illegal, based on public opinion?

The Daily editors and Republican leadership think so: “The shake-up will be good for the American people.

“Speaker of the House hopeful Bob Livingston R-La. has pledged more bi-partisan cooperation and says that public opinion polls will be a factor in the Ken Starr investigation.”

The last time this happened, millions of Jews died because popular opinion ran against them. Will we ever learn?
